Samaritan's Purses for Messy Church

We have now invested in new die cut shapes for Messy Church to help children to learn to sew and learn parables that Jesus told. Felt shapes come with holes precut for ease of sewing.

They are intended to be a striking craft to help illustrate the stories of The Good Samaritan and The Lost Coin. We trialled them with a group of four to twelve year olds - with resounding success. Very popular with the children, and the helpers and parents really got involved helping the children learn to sew.

We added coins that could be rubbed with silver, gold and broze wax crayons to make counters and a dice game that was coloured in and then laminated - with a brightly coloured dice for each child to take home. FUN, FUN, FUN!

The board game was created using some fantastic cartoons of the characters from Seeds of Faith (Discipleship Publications International)
